nexspace expands in southern Germany: New location in Stuttgart Sternhöhe

nexspace data centers GmbH strengthens its presence in southern Germany with a new location on the Sternhöhe campus in Stuttgart.

Stuttgart, September 1, 2025 - nexspace data centers GmbH, developer and operator of modern and sustainable data centers in the DACH region, is adding another strategic location to its network, a new data center on the alstria office AG site on Sternhöhe in Stuttgart.

With the addition of a new site in Stuttgart, the company is further expanding its regional presence in the south, as well as in one of the leading innovation locations in Europe, Baden-Württemberg. The new location is part of the company’s growth strategy to provide modern colocation capacities where the demand for high-performance IT infrastructure is particularly high. The data halls are expected to be available to customers in the 2nd half of 2026.
Embedded in a growing partner ecosystem, a regionally anchored campus is being created that focuses on sustainability, high availability and a future-oriented security concept. The state-of-the-art infrastructure on site will offer small, medium-sized and larger companies secure and high-performance IT space. This makes the site ideal for companies that operate in energy intensive sectors, such as Artificial Intelligence, as well as those that place high demands on performance, availability, and environmental responsibility.
The data center will meet all the requirements of the Energy Efficiency Act, with a design PUE of 1.2. The local district cooling network will be used for cooling, and waste heat generated during operation will be used efficiently and fed into the campus heating network. All requirements of the Energy Efficiency Act, including the regulations on waste heat use that will apply from July 1, 2026, will not only be met but exceeded.
In addition to the campus in Heidelberg and the new location in Stuttgart, nexspace data centers GmbH also operates a site in Graz, Austria, which together provides a platform to develop further locations.
