nexspace Completes the Acquisition of a New Data Center in Austria

Graz - June 27, 2024 - nexspace, the developer and operator of cutting-edge, sustainable data centers in the DACH region, has today announced that it has completed the strategic acquisition of an operational data center in Graz, Austria along with a neighboring property, with the aim of developing a further location.

This latest acquisition is part of the nexspace growth strategy of purchasing existing sites and developing facilities for colocation services in areas with an under-supply, with the ultimate aim of providing customers with the cutting edge of data center technology.

The existing location is fully leased by an anchor tenant and has a data center capacity of 3.6 MVA. The new data center will offer customers looking for colocation infrastructure the space for a capacity of up to 4 MW. The expansion of the location underlines nexspace’s capacity to service the increasing demand for data processing in the vicinity of the most important economic centers in the DACH region. Following the takeover, nexspace will be able to provide its customers with up to 10 MVA of data center capacity.

The Austrian data center market suffers from a lack of supply, so we are delighted to be able to offer our customers in Graz these highly secure and sustainable capacities. I am really excited about this acquisition – it marks the next step in our growth strategy, with which we intend to meet the underlying demand for cutting-edge local data centers in the DACH region.
